Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark survived in the Hunger Games once, but now the Capitol wants revenge. By doing the "trick" with the berries and surviving both in the arena, they might have started a ribellion in the Districts against the Capitol and because of this, if they do only one step false unthinkable concequences  might happen to them and the people they love. Infact for the 75th Hunger Games they have to go back in the Arena, but it wont be like the previous years, because this time they have to fight for their survival against the other Victors.

I really liked this book because it has action, romanceand every part of it is breathtaking. I think  it's well written and full of details. I would reccommend this book to teenagers because it's beautiful and it's a pleasure to read, infact it's my favourite.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a book written by Stephen Chbosky. Charlie is a boy,
who is starting high school alone because ours his friend Michael committed suicide the
year before. To affront all of hi dilemmas ( especially the death of his Aunt Helen, who died
in a car accident on his birthday) and to "talk to someone", Charlie decides to write some
letters, anonymously, to an unknown person. His first " friend" at school was his teacher Bill, who always gave him books to read and review. As time passed he meats Sam and Patrick two step brother and sister and they become friends. Charlie begins to go out with his friends and their group and instantly falls in love with Sam although the love is not
reciprocal. As the book continues Charlie starts to "date" ( he doesn't want to but doesn't
know what to do) Mary Elisabeth. At a party they were all playing truth or dare and Patrick
dares Charlie to kiss the prettiest girl in the room and instead of kissing Mary Elisabeth he
kisses Sam. This creates tension in the group an Patrick tells Charlie that it's better if for a
while he stops going out with them. As the book goes on Charlie goes through horrible
memories ( at the point to make him go to a mental hospital) but also beautiful experiences, thanks to his friends, that makes him feel " infinite".

I think this book is beautiful because it talks about a story of a teenage boy who is exploring " high school life" and has passed through many difficult moments and thanks to his friends he also experiences some beautiful he will never forget. In conclusion I can say I learned a lot from this book and think it's amazing.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

The book Divergent (of the Divergent trilogy), wrote by Veronica Roth, is a “futuristic” city, in which people are divided n factions: Abnegation, the self-less, Dauntless, the brave, Candor, the honest, Amity the peaceful and Erudite, the knowledgeable.

All sixteen-year-old have to have an aptitude test that would help you choose which faction you are best suited in on the Choosing Day.

The main character in this book is called Beatrice Prior, daughter of two Abnegation parents. Beatrice is sixteen-years-old, like her brother Caleb. On her aptitude test, her results are inconclusive because they said she could fit in Dauntless, Abnegation or Erudite, which means she is Divergent and this could bring her trouble, and her instructor, Tori, tells her not to tell this to anyone, even her family. When the Choosing Day arrives all the sixteen-year-olds and their factions are gathered. When its Beatrice’s turn to choose between her current or all the other factions, she decides Dauntless because she never felt as selfless like the other Abnegation. To her surprise her brother chose Erudite and they were immediately took to their new factions and Beatrice chose to call herself Tris. She becomes friends to Christina, Al and Will, but at the same time she is “ tortured” by Peter, Molly and Drew, other initiates. As all the Dauntless arrive to their compound all the initiates are told that before they can permanently join the compound they had to go through Initiation and at the end of it the first ten initiates, would remain in the compound and the rest would become Factionless.

The Selection

The Book The Selection, talks about a 16-year-old girl named America who lives in a futuristic UnitedStates, Ìllea. This, although isn't a wonderful world. This is based in castes, from 1 to eight. the ones, are the monarchy, who live a welthy and excessive life, and the eights are the "slaves" they hardly have any food to feed them and a roof on top of their head. She lives in the 5th cast. Her cast is specialized in arts and she sings and plays various instruments to help her family.

Her society has very strict rules about relationships, and her being with Aspen, brock the majority of these rules, although Aspen was a cast lower than her, which meant that if she was going to marry him she would become a 6 like him, who were “helpers” to the other castes.

When a letter from the royal palace, selecting all the girls of a certain age range, arrives at her house, Aspen and America`s family convince her to enter this contest, although only 32 girls in all Íllea would be selected.

Her relationship with Aspen ends in a heartbreak, and when she discovers she was actually picked to be part of the Selection, she is kind of relieved, because she doesn’t need to see Aspen everyday. When she arrives to the Plalace and has a very awkward encounter with the Prince, Maxon, they become close friends, until he kisses her and they start a “relationship”, although Prince Maxon had other 31 girls in the contest, but America was certainly his favorite.

As America was forgetting Aspen, and having a wonderful love story with Maxon, her whole world is turned upside down when she discovers that Aspen was in the castle because he was chosen to serve in the military army.

This will cause her a huge dilemma to face, who will she choose: Maxon or Aspen?
